AUTHOR PROFILE
Hiroshi Komamiya is an artisan who creates tissue paper insects and miniature models of old Japanese houses. He observes real insects and makes diagrams of their body parts, which he then uses to recreate them with tissue paper. He has crafted about 300 insects of over 100 species. He displays his works in exhibitions and organizes workshops all around Japan.
